What is an EPC?
The EPC gives an energy efficiency rating of a property on a scale of 0-100. The rating is a measure of the overall efficiency of a property. The higher the rating, the more energy efficient the property is and the lower the fuel bills will be. EPCs are valid for a maximum of 10 years on a commercial property.
What is a DEC?
A Display Energy Certificate shows the energy performance of a building based on actual energy consumption as recorded annually over periods up to the last three years.
DECs need to be updated each year.
